SCTA Next Gen visits Kawacom, Uganda
Earlier this year, our Kawacom team, ECOM’s local operation in Uganda, had the pleasure of welcoming 15 coffee aficionados as part of the SCTA Next Gen’s very first origin trip.
Hosted by our local team in Kampala, the visit offered a look at Kawacom’s day-to-day operations and the expertise behind Ugandan coffee. The day was spent touring various dry mills, followed by a cupping session showcasing a wide range of coffee qualities and profiles.
Beyond the operational experience, the trip was also a valuable opportunity to connect with colleagues on the ground, exchange perspectives, and strengthen relationships across origins and teams.
A heartfelt thank you to the entire Kawacom team for the warm welcome, generosity, and for sharing their knowledge and hospitality throughout the visit.
